Qatar National Team Arrives in Kuwait for Gulf Cup

DOHA: The Qatar national football team landed in Kuwait on Thursday evening to participate in the 26th Gulf Cup, scheduled from December 21 to January 4. Qatar has been placed in Group A, alongside Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman. The Al Annabi squad departed Doha after completing their final training session on Friday. Their last practice before the tournament opener against the UAE will be held at 9 pm on Friday at Kazma Club in Kuwait. Head coach Luis Garcia is set to hold a pre-match press conference at 1 pm on Friday at the tournament’s media center in the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Coach Garcia announced the final 26-player roster for the Gulf Cup. The lineup includes players from prominent Qatari clubs such as Al-Duhail, Al-Sadd, Al-Gharafa, and Al-Wakra, as well as two players based in Spain. The selected players are: Goalkeepers: Salah Zakaria, Mohammed Khaled Ibrahim (Calahorra, Spain) Defenders: Sultan Al-Buraik, Hammam Al-Amin, Mubarak Shanan (Al-Duhail), Tariq Salman, Abdullah Al-Ahrak (Al-Sadd), Lucas Mendes (Al-Wakra), Abdulaziz Khaled, Ahmed Al-Rawi (Al-Rayyan), Jassim Jaber (Al-Arabi), Al-Hashemi Mohiuddin (Alcorcón, Spain) Midfielders: Mustafa Mishaal, Akram Afif (Al-Sadd), Abdulrahman Mustafa (Al-Ahly), Asim Madibo, Abdullah Youssef (Al-Gharafa), Bahaa Al-Leithi (Al-Ahly), Ahmed Fathi (Al-Arabi) Forwards: Al-Moez Ali (Al-Duhail), Mishaal Abdullah, Youssef Abdul Razzaq (Al-Sadd), Rabah Boussaf (Al-Gharafa), Marwan Sharif (Al-Ahly), Mohamed Muntari (Al-Gharafa). Al Duhail defender Mohammed Ayash was excluded due to a hamstring injury, while Abdulaziz Khaled (Al-Wakra) and Mubarak Shanan (Al-Duhail) have been called up as replacements.
