DOHA: Qatar's Ali Asad won the Player of the Tournament award after the home team clinched the WAFF Football Championship for Men. On Tuesday, Qatar beat Jordan 2-0 in the final of the nine-team event. Qatar's Khoukhi Bualem emerged as the Top Scorer with six goals.

Bahrain's Sayed Abbas was declared the Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Qatar dominated the event with sterling performances during the two-week event. The team was coached by Djamel Belamadi.
