DOHA:Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced that
the national side will take on Northern Ireland as part of
their training camp at St George’s Park for the first phase
of training ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The match will take place on May 31 at Gresty Road Stadium
, the home venue of Football League One side Crewe Alexandria.
The training camp at St George’s Park will be heldfrom May
26 to June 4.
The maroons are scheduled to host Algeria and Slovenia later
this month in their first appearance after failing to go beyond
the group stage in an out of sorts Asian Cup campaign last January.
St George’s Park is the English Football Association’s national
football centre on a 330-acre site at Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire.
The center was officially opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
on 9 October 2012.
