DUBLIN, Republic of Ireland: The Qatar squad has reached Dublin for their 2022 FIFA World Cup, European Zone, qualifying match on Tuesday.
According to the itinerary, the squad will have only one training session ahead of the clash at Aviva Stadium on Tuesday.
Qatar has flown in from Algarve in Portugal, where they played a daunting match on Saturday, a 0-3 defeat to Christiano Ronaldo led Portugal, who is at pole position in the group, ahead of Serbia.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Jose Fonte and Andre Silva scored the goals for Portugal on Saturday.
With a three-hour flying trip from Portugal, the players are expected to rest and be present for just one training session prior to the match on Tuesday.
Following a 3-0 loss against the world number 7, the squad coached by Felix Sanchez will face the Republic of Ireland for the second time in the group; last March, the maroons played out a 1-1 draw in the Hungarian city of Debrecen.
On Saturday, the boys in green mustered a 2-0 away victory over Azarbijan, requiting a 0-1 loss in the qualification.
