Qatar squad lands in Malaysia, trains ahead of clash

KUALA LUMPUR: Qatar squad on Monday arrived in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur and later hit the training pitch ahead of their 2015 Asian Cup qualifying match on Tuesday. In a brief chat with media travelling with the squad, Qatar coach Fahad Thani said his players were well prepared for the Group D match. Qatar squad flew in from Al Ain, UAE, where they beat Yemen 4-1 in another qualifying match on Friday. Qatar, who have 9 points from four matches, are seeking to qualify for the 2015 Asian Cup to be held in Australia. The 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification matches will determine the participating teams for the event to be held in Australia. A total of 16 teams will compete in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. Qatar squad: Khalfan Ibrahim, Hassan Al Haydos, Mohammed Kasola, Talal Al Balushi, Abdul Karim Hassan, Mahdi Ali, Saad Al Nasseb, Qasem Burhan, Bilal Mohammed, Ibrahim Al-Ghanim, Ali Hassan Afif, Sebastian Soria, Jarallah Al Marri, Ahmed Alaa, Hamid Ismail, Hamad Al Obeidi, Abdul Karim Ali, Majid Mohammed, Wisam Rizk, Yousef Muftah, Abdalmtalb, Saud Al Khater and Musab Al Mahmoud.
