DOHA: Qatar U-19 national team went down to Benfica 3-0 in a friendly game played
in Lisbon.
Although Benfica won the match rather easily but Qatar juniors created
at least three scoring chances in the first 20 minutes of the
friendly, Qatari official said on Tuesday.
Benfica coach later praised the Qatari performance, saying he was
surprised to see 'excellent short passes' from the visitors.
For Qatar Akram Afifi and Fahad Shanan produced excellent
understanding on the pitch, a team official of Qatar said.
