DOHA: The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Qatari-Emirati Super Cup hosted a press conference on Tuesday afternoon to share updates on the second edition of the tournament, including match schedules, venues, and preparations. This year’s Super Cup, set to take place from January 16-19, 2025, will feature eight teams—four from Qatar and four from the UAE—competing across Doha, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. The press conference was attended by Ali Al-Salat, Head of the Media Department at the Qatar Football Association (QFA), Faisal Al-Otaibi, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Al Rayyan, Turki Al-Ali, Executive Director of Al Sadd, and representatives from the LOC, QFA, and local media. Match Schedule and Venues:
  • January 16, 2025: Al Rayyan (Qatar) vs. Shabab Al Ahli (UAE) at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, Doha (6 PM).
  • January 17, 2025: Al Nasr (UAE) vs. Qatar SC (Qatar) at Al Maktoum Stadium, Dubai (7 PM).
  • January 18, 2025: Al Sadd (Qatar) vs. Al Wasl (UAE) at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, Doha (7 PM).
  • January 19, 2025: Al Wahda (UAE) vs. Al Wakrah (Qatar) at Al Nahyan Stadium, Abu Dhabi (7 PM).
Tickets, priced at QR 30 and QR 50, will be available starting Wednesday via the official Qatar Stars League website (qsl.qa). Team Preparations and Insights: Al Rayyan’s Director of Marketing, Faisal Al-Otaibi, shared that the team has seen the return of key players from injury and is adapting to new coach Arthur Jorge, who succeeded Younis Ali.
