Doha:The FIFA Referees Committee has selected 54 officials to oversee matches at the second edition of the FIFA Arab Cup 2025, which will take place in Qatar, with the final stage scheduled between December 1 and 18. The list includes 14 referees, 28 assistant referees, and 12 video assistant referees (VARs), representing 23 national associations.
Among those appointed is the distinguished Qatari officiating team, featuring referee Abdulrahman Al-Jassim, assistant referees Taleb Salem Al-Marri and Saud Ahmed Al-Maqaleh, along with Khamis Al-Marri as a video assistant referee.
All selected referees will undergo close supervision both before and during the tournament by a group of FIFA technical experts, including VAR supervisors, fitness trainers, physiotherapists, and sports science specialists, to ensure the highest level of preparation and support.
The FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025 represents another significant step for referees on the road to the FIFA World Cup 2026, serving as an essential stage in their ongoing professional development and readiness for global tournaments.
