Doha: Qatari referees are still active in Asian competitions through assignments in the fifth round of the 2025/2026 AFC Elite Champions League.

A Qatari officiating team has been appointed to manage the match between China's Chengdu Qianbao and Japan's Sanfrecce Hiroshima. 

This crew is led by Abdullah Al-Athba as the main referee, supported by Ramzan Al-Nuaimi and Majid Hadeers as assistant referees, with Abdulhadi Al-Ruwaili as the fourth official and Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sharif as the Video Assistant Referee. The match is set for Tuesday, November 25th, in China.

Also, Meshari Al-Shammari will contribute to the match between Saudi Arabia's Al-Hilal and Iraq's Al-Shorta in Riyadh.

Abdullah Al-Baloshi will assess the referees in the Al-Ahli (Saudi Arabia) vs. Al-Sharjah (UAE) match in Jeddah on Monday, November 24th. Completing the schedule, Abdulrahman Abdo will serve as the assessor for the Esteghlal (Iran) vs. Al-Wasl (UAE) match in Iran on Wednesday, November 26th, a part of the AFC Champions League 2.
