DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the
Qatar Football Association (QFA) has left for Sydney for the AFC Asian
Cup draw ceremony to be held on March 26.
Sheikh Hamad is heading a delegation that includes Abdul Aziz Saud Al
Mohannadi, Vice President of QFA, and Qatar coach Djamel Belmadi.
Ahmed Khalil, Director of the national team, and Khalid Mubarak Al
Kuwari , Director of Marketing and Communication are also part of the
delegation that also includes members of Arabic press in Doha.
The draw ceremony - to be held at the famous Sydney Opera House - will
be attended by coaches and officials of teams that will feature in the
Asian Cup to be held in Australia in January next year.
Qatar hosted the event in 1988 and in 2011.
