Doha: A ten-day administrative development course for football administrators successfully concluded, bringing together a mix of seasoned professionals who have managed teams for years and newcomers embarking on their first experiences in the field. The course culminated in a theoretical examination designed to assess the participants' grasp of the comprehensive training program.
This initiative is part of the Qatar Football Association's (QFA) ongoing efforts to enhance the administrative and technical staff within Qatari football. The curriculum featured lectures and practical workshops covering a wide range of essential topics in sports management. Key areas included leadership skills, strategic planning, introductions to crisis management, sports event management, sports media, and the latest practices in sports governance. Furthermore, the program incorporated specialized subjects directly relevant to the work of football team administrators, such as sports psychology, technical duties, sports nutrition, football law and competition regulations, and first aid, the latter delivered in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation.
Simultaneously, the QFA’s Development Department launched a D-Level Football Coaches Course on the training grounds at Qatar University. This parallel program aims to equip candidates from affiliated clubs and academies with fundamental theoretical and practical coaching knowledge, enabling them to effectively work with players and develop their skills based on approved scientific principles.
