Doha: The Qatar Football Association's (QFA) Development Department has unveiled the calendar for the 2025/2026 sports season.

The schedule is packed with a diverse range of events and activities, these include various youth-level championships organized through festivals, age-group leagues, and cup tournaments, all designed to uncover promising talents who can progress from their clubs to the national teams. The competitive schedule begins this September.

The department also places a strong emphasis on education, organizing numerous administrative and coaching courses that grant diploma certificates. Highlights include the "Pro" course for professional coaches (A, B, and C licenses) and a specialized "Elite" course for youth team coaches. This commitment to development has earned the QFA’s Development Department high praise from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for its work in expanding the game and graduating a large number of highly qualified Qatari, Arab, and expatriate coaches.
