DOHA: A Qatar Football Association (QFA) delegation celebrated the World Cancer Day at Al Amal Cancer Hospital today with the cancer patients and survivors.
The celebration of the World Cancer Day was marked with distribution of gifts and PlayStation 3 consolesto hospitalized children. The visit also aimed to raise awareness about the disease, prevention, early detection, and treatments.
Commenting on the occasion, Khalid Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications said: “Our participation to mark this important day stems from our responsibility towards the community as it is our duty to fight together against this disease. Our aim is to put a smile on the face of these strong children and give them hope for the future. It’s important to remind the children we have met today that having strong willpower to fight this illness will help them in overcoming this deadly disease.”
