Doha: His Excellency Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buainain, President of the Qatar Football Association, attended the final training session of the Qatar veterans' national team at Al-Uqla Training Grounds. His presence was a gesture of support and encouragement as the team prepares to travel to Kuwait for the inaugural Gulf Veterans Championship, "Gulf Legends," taking place from February 20 to 24. The tournament will feature participation from all eight Gulf national teams.
During his visit, Al-Buainain met with the head of the delegation, Mr. Mohammed Mubarak Al-Mohannadi, to ensure the team's readiness ahead of their departure to Kuwait. He also addressed the players, urging them to deliver their best performances and rekindle the spirit of past Gulf tournaments, where they once shone as stars of Qatari football.
