DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar
Football Association (QFA), on Thursday headed a series of meetings
with the local organizing committee dealing with WAFF Football
Championship to be held in Doha next month.
Saud Abdulaziz Al Mohannadi, Secretary General, QFA, was also present
during the meetings.
The event will be held in Doha from December 25 to January 7, 2014.
"The working committees have presented detailed reports to QFA
president," Al Mohannadi informed.
According to information made available here on Thursday, the finance
committee, the marketing and communication team and the committee of
sports affairs presented the details on the work completed so far.
Besides Qatar, the participating teams include Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan,
Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
WAFF has 13 member associations.
All of them are members of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
