DOHA: Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of Qatar Football Association (QFA), on Monday met with his counterpart from the PhilippineMariano Araneta. The two discussed matters of mutual interest and ways to improve football relations between the two countries. The football chiefs of Qatar and the Philippine also exchanged mementos during the meeting which took place at Al Bidda Towers. The QFA president invited Araneta to witness matches in the on-going WAFF Football Championship which is being held in Doha. Hassan ‘thanked the QFA chief for the hospitality’ and said he ‘looked forward to exploring new ways of football exchanges between the two parties’.
