Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: His Excellency Mr. Jassim bin Rashid Al-Buainain, President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), participated in the 35th Asian Football Confederation (AFC) General Assembly, held on Saturday at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The General Assembly was also attended by Mr. Mansoor Al-Ansari, Secretary-General of the QFA. During the assembly, the AFC’s budget for 2025 and 2026 was approved. Additionally, attendees ratified the audited financial statements for 2024, the auditors’ report, and expanded details on flagship programs in education, development, technical aspects, and refereeing. The assembly also endorsed the AFC’s activity report for the period preceding the conference, reviewed committee and panel reports, and voted on proposed amendments to the AFC Statutes, regulatory bylaws, and internal regulations.
