DOHA: The next season of the Qatar Stars League (QSL) is set for an
August start, according to details on Monday.
The Qatar Stars League Management (QSLM) is likely to make the
announcement in a few days, it emerged on Monday.
The reason for the early start is to allow national team players
sufficient time in training and playing matches in their build-up for
the Gulf Cup to be held in November this year.
The early start will also see QSL being halted as Qatar takes part in
the 2015 Asian Cup to be held in February next year in Australia.
The above two events will eat a major chunk of the time from the
regular QSL action.
The regular QSL season starts every September.
