Doha:
Qatari referees Abdulrahman Al-Mulla and Hamad Al-Esaiei are currently participating in the second preparatory unit of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Referee Academy (7th Batch) in Kuala Lumpur. The program, which runs from October 27th to 31st at the AFC headquarters, is a key part of the continent's elite official development scheme.
The intensive curriculum includes both theoretical and practical modules, all conducted under the supervision of the AFC's top referee instructors. This training is designed to mirror the preparation given to the confederation's most elite match officials.
Since its establishment in 2017, the AFC Referee Academy has been instrumental in increasing the number of world-class referees across Asia and expanding development support for member associations. The academy's list of graduates has included numerous Qatari referees in recent years, contributing to the growing strength of officials available for domestic competitions like those involving the Qatar U17 and Young Maroons teams.
