DOHA: Al Wakra continue to lead the Second Division after lifting their overall points tally to 22 following a 4-1 win over Mesaimeer at Al Wakra Stadium.
Playing on home soil, Al Wakra smashed three goals in the first half of the Round 11 match.
The goals were scored by Pasco Jesus (29), Nana Boko (33 and 45), then the fourth goal in the 69th minute by Omar Ali. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Doni scored for Mesaimeer in the 85th minute.
Al Wakrah's Mohammed Faraj and Mesaimeer's Mohammed Al Qahtani received yellow cards.
In the second match, which was played at the same venue, Muaither beat Al Shamal 2-0. Musab Mohammed scored in the 37th and 77th minutes.
The game saw the case of a single dismissal when the referee Abdulaziz Mousa flashed the red card to Mohamed Fouad of Muaither in the 85th minute. Muaither's Mamadou got a yellow card.
Al Wakra lead the standings with 22 points, followed by Muaither in second place with 18 points ahead of Al Markhiya by goal difference. Mesaimeer with 13 points are fourth while Al Bida are fifth with 12 points. Al Shamal with 4 points are in sixth spot.
In the coming round, Al-Wakra will play Muaither, Al-Markhiya take on Mesaimeer while Al Shamal face Al Bida.
