DOHA: Muaither posted a big victory over Al Bida at the end of the fifth round of the Second Division.
Playing impressive football throughout the 90 minutes, Muaither won 6-1.
The winners scored two goals in the first half to lay foundation for four more strikes in the second.
Mamadou Lamine opened the scoring in the 13th minute and Mohamed Obaid Al-Qahtani reduced the lead in the 23rd minute.
In the second half, Muaither managed to double the goals.
The third goal was scored by Ayoub Al-Wadrasi in the 53rd minute. Lamin scored his second and fourth goal for Muaither in the 58th minute.
Al-Wadrasi scored the fifth goal for Muaither in the 67th minute.
With this result, leaders Muaither have lifted their points tally to 21 points.
Al Bidda suffered their fifth consecutive defeat to remain bottom of the table.
In the next round, Al Shamal, Muaither, Al Wakra and Mesaimeer will be seen in action at Al Wakra Stadium. One match will be played Al Shamal Stadium.
Meanwhile Mesaimeer beat Al Shamal 2-0 in courtesy of two first half goals by Mohammed Al Qahtani (11) and Abdulla Al Dayani (37).
Mesaimeer have raised their points lead to 9 points while Al Shamal have 4 points.
