DOHA: The Sheikh Jassim Cup one-off game will kick off the new football season, the Qatar Football Association (QFA) has announced. Al Duhail will battle Emir Cup runners-up Al Rayyan in the Sheikh Jassim Cup to officially launch the new football season. Coached by Djamal Belmadi, Al Duhail capped off a historic treble earlier this week with a 2-1 victory over Al Rayyan in the Emir Cup final.
