Stage Set for Second Edition of Qatar-UAE Super Cup

    DOHA: The organizing committee of the Qatari-UAE Super Cup has announced the return of the highly anticipated competition, now expanded to feature four distinct tournaments.   The event will bring together eight teams—four from Qatar and four from the UAE—competing in a series of high-stakes matches between January 16 and January 19, 2025.   Challenge Shield: Al Rayyan, runner-up of the Ooredoo Stars League, will face Shabab Al Ahli, runner-up of the ADNOC Professional League, in the tournament opener on January 16, 2025, in Doha. Super Cup: Qatar SC, runner-up of the Amir Cup, will clash with Al Nasr, runner-up of the UAE President's Cup, on January 17, 2025, in Dubai. Super Shield: Al Sadd, champions of the Ooredoo Stars League, will meet Al Wasl, titleholders of the ADNOC Professional League, on January 18, 2025, in Doha. Challenge Cup: Al Wakrah, winners of the Qatar Cup, will go head-to-head with Al Wahda, champions of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, in the final match on January 19, 2025, in Abu Dhabi.   This four-day competition celebrates the footballing excellence of both nations and promises exciting encounters between some of the top clubs from Qatar and the UAE.
