DOHA: The friendly between French champions PSG and Spanish giants
Real Madrid is a sell-out, organizers said on Monday.
The match between the two will take place in Doha on January 2 at the
50,000-capacity Khalifa Stadium.
QFA Vice President Saoud Al-Mohannadi said: 'This really is what
football is all about – the love of the game. The passion, the
excitement and the togetherness. Football is renowned for uniting
people of all ages and nationality. This match is most certainly going
to be spectacular on the pitch and even more so in the stands.'
Al Mohannadi said: 'The atmosphere will be electric. The QFA would
also like to thank and acknowledge the great team effort and support
of some of the key match partners, QTA, Ooredoo and QNB, and of course
Paris Saint-Germain who have played a fantastic role in supporting
the promotion of this friendly game.'
PSG, who won the French title last year, is bank-rolled by Qatar.
