DOHA: Qatar Stars League outfit Umm Salal completed the signing of 32 year-old Brazilian striker Victor Simoes from Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli on Tuesday.
Following his exit from Al Ahli; Simoes was linked to several clubs in the region and his homecountry.
The strong striker’s career had multiple stints at some of Brazil’s biggest club, including, Flamengo and Botafogo, he also played Belguim’s Club Brugge and Korea’s Chunnam Dragons.
Umm Salal, who barely managed to stay in the Qatar Stars League last season;begun their Qatar Stars league campaign with a disappointing defeat to recently promoted side Muaither, inaugurating a lengthy losing streak which places them at the bottom of the league table after thirteen weeks.
