DOHA: The organizing committee of the WAFF Football Championship on
Monday held a key meeting ahead of this week's first match to be
played on December 25.
Saud Al Mohannadi, Vice President, Qatar Football Association (QFA),
chaired the meeting attended by officials of all the nine teams
featuring in the December 25-January 7 event.
Members of various committees tasked with special operations were also
present during the meeting.
'Qatar is ready for this championship. We have completed our part of
the preparations,' Al Mohannadi said. 'Now it is up to the teams to
entertain the fans,' he added.
'From the training facilities to security arrangements to sale of
tickets, all preparations are complete,' the Tournament Director
pointed out.
Al Mohannadi said the team technical committee will be held on Tuesday.
He said more meetings will take place as the event kicks off at three
different match venues.
