DOHA: Mansour Al-Ansari, the Executive Director of Qatar national
teams, has said Al Anabi is eyeing positive results in what will be a
busy year for the national side.
Qatar will be aiming at glory in the 214 Gulf Cup to be held in November
this year and then the 2015 Asian Cup to be staged in Australia in
January next year.
"Our plans are in place," Al Ansari said. "The targets are wins for
both senior and junior sides" he added.
"We hope we remain positive on and off the pitch. We want to reach the
2018 FIFA World Cup (to be held in Russia)," he said.
"These are all high profile events and we have to deliver," he said.
"Our senior and junior squads are in experienced hands as Djamel
Belmadi and Fahad Thani know their jobs and are very committed
professionals," he said.
