DOHA: Qatar's astute midfielder Khouki Bualam said the team's hard work helped the national side win the final of the WAFF Football Championship for Men.
On Tuesday, hosts Qatar crushed Jordan 2-0 in the final.
"We worked really hard and that's why we won," Bualem said. "The team work was great on the pitch. The boys provided plenty of thrilling moments.
"The coach worked so hard for us," he said. "Jordan is a strong side and we needed to be really tough against them.
"I want to thank the fans for their support," Bualam said. "Without their support we couldn't have done it.
"We dedicate this win to Qatar," he said.
