The idea of establishing Mesaimeer Sports Club began in 1996, initially as a football team under the name Al Nahda Sports Club, located in the Al Maamoura district of Doha.

In 1998, His Highness the Crown Prince issued a decree officially recognizing the club. A founding general assembly was formed by local residents, who then elected the first Board of Directors. During that period, the club’s name was changed from Al Nahda Sports Club to Al Shoala Sports Club.

In 2000, a permanent club facility was constructed in the Mesaimeer area, featuring an administrative building, changing rooms, and a football field.

Later, in 2004, the club was renamed Mesaimeer Sports Club, aligning with the name of the area where it is based. As for the club’s participation in Qatari competitions, Mesaimeer has competed 14 times in the Sheikh Jassim Cup and 16 times in the prestigious Emir Cup.
